1. Consultation Services for International Cooperation
We provide a variety of consultation services for health development among people in developing countries, including survey and research, designing and planning, promotion and management of implementation of projects such as hospital construction and medical equipment procurement, and monitoring and evaluation, process gardening for health system strengthening, etc.
2. Activities of Tactical Urbanism (Picturesque Asakusa-San’ya Program)
We have begun various activities to explore and visualize charm points of Asakusa- San’ya and to re-define value of the area as a town where we can stay as we are. It includes walking and Japanese sake bar tours, media monitoring, literary history studies, Asakusa-San’ya’s original sticker sale, fixed point observation with photos.
Asakusa-San’ya is an area in the Taitō district of Tokyo, located south of the Namidabashi intersection. After World War II, it evolved into a region with a distinct culture—an area full of crowded, cheap rooming houses where day laborers live. However, these days, the area has begun to undergo developmentō and to become more attractive an relaxed area with construction of apartments and guesthouses for domestic and international travelers.
3. Research Activities (Studies of “Access to Health” of Migrants in Japan)
We have studied the “access to health” of migrants in Japan as internal research activities. In particular, we have focused soical ties among people, which is essential for social inclusion, but not well-studied in Japan.
